Exhibited at Stop 14B Stimpson St/Luya St  - Fairfield

Bus Stop

In 2019 after moving to Brisbane/Meanjin I yearned to connect with the suburb of Fairfield as a community. After noticing many suburban bus stops are backed with gridded material’s perfect for handing works, I decided to exhibit some pieces at the bus stop closest to my rented home. I knew at some point the painting would be removed yet it stayed for a few months before disappearing. I received an array of positive emails and instagram messages from people in my community who viewed the work.

As a visual artist working in Meanjin/Brisbane, I acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal people as the traditional owners of the land on which my creative practice takes place. I pay my respects to their elders past and present, and emerging.
